It happens to work again with your Dutch default because this does have the features defined in the "Latin" group, and the same is true, presumably, for all other European languages that use this particular alphabet.Ī solution from the font creator's side would be to add all of the special features to all of the possible scripts/languages (or possibly to "DFLT" only), but. ttf is a universal OpenType font (with glyph outlines using TrueType descriptions - otf is the same kind of font but with glyph outlines described in CFF), and subject to way stricter parsing than if you take that ttf and then pack it as a WOFF instead, which marks it explicitly as intended for use on the web, where certain things that need to be in a system font can in fact. Segoe MDL2 Assets is a Windows 10 font that replaces Windows 8/8.1 font Segoe UI Symbols. Which are not there, so you don't get any. Another benefit of using font icons is that, in case you change the theme from light to dark, the icons are updated as well, depending on the theme. Malayalam does not use the "Latin" writing system, and so InDesign tries to find features that apply to either "all" (properly called "DFLT") or this particular script. What happens with this font is that it contains features for "Latin" only. Only within each group of 'alphabets', features for separate languages may be defined. OpenType features are grouped primarily per script (different writing systems: Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, and so on).
Different articles or revisions may share. As you know, this mechanism is somewhat like Git. If not, call php-font-lib to generate one there. Search its MD5 value under the tailored tree to see if there is existed tailored font.
#Universal type client font glyphs not wokring update
As far as I can tell these three changes (the cairo fix, update to firefox 4, and the courier font patch) fix all cases where font glyphs are incorrectly printed. Do Tailoring Get the articles content, and generate character set by sorting and uniquing.
No idea how ID ever managed to change your default settings on its own (did you recently upgrade from CC2017 to 2018?), but here is the underlying reason: Type 1 fonts don't display as nicely as TrueType, are limited to 256 characters, and they do not have the advanced font features of TrueType/OpenType fonts.
